Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is an award-winning and distinctive group of deluxe hotels for today’s discerning business and leisure traveler, combining the renowned Swiss hospitality with luxuriously fresh, contemporary design. With globetrotting clientele visiting their various resorts across the world, Swissotel needed help in gaining high organic search visibility for key international locations.

The Solution

Understanding the complexity of their target audience (high end / business and luxury travel), we put forward a number of creative ideas that may satisfy their curiosity and needs. The Ultimate Guide To Worldwide Etiquette was the winning choice, and we set about researching and producing the project.

The Ultimate Guide is an interactive HTML5/CSS3 infographic, with JQuery components for the interactive visualizations. The guide is intended to help people who may need a hand with local etiquette during business travel.

The results

The interactive piece has, to date, attracted many hundreds of links, social shares and it’s assisted hundreds of actual booking conversions on the site. In its first month, the interactive piece outperformed the affiliate and email marketing channels for sales, even thought the objective of the work was to attract links and social shares.

Coverage was worldwide, including a feature in Lifehacker and a mention in Rand Fishkin’s “The Secret Ingredients of Better Marketing“.
