Search London – Never Underestimate the Value of Networking

What’s Search London?

Search London is a meetup group for anyone with an interest in SEO, PPC and Social media.  The number of members doubled in size last year to over 1,130 people (as of January 2013).  Its growth and continued record number of attendees is reflected in the quality of the Search London members and the speakers who present at the meetup. I have been running the group for over two years and in that time we have seen 13 meetups with key search professionals (including those from agencies such as Verve Search, theMediaFlow, SEOgadget (natch, Ed.) and search blogs, including State of Search and SEO Chicks) speaking at the event.

Running Search London has been a fantastic way to meet a number of search experts and is also a great place to keep up to date with search industry news.  As we all know search is an ever changing industry and it is important to be ahead of the game. Depending on the recent updates in Google, Social Media Marketing and PPC, I can ask speakers at Search London to present their views on these topics, enabling us to deliver to up to date information to attendees.  The key area I always want to give Search London members are practical tips they can implement straight away.

Now in its third year, the meetup group has grown so much that we have a Search London organising Team to help with putting on the events.

First class speakers with smart, practical take aways

SEOgadget’s Jon Quinton will be doing a a live technical site audit, offering a rare insight into exactly how the SEOgadget prescriptions are crafted (and the results speak for themselves – get involved).

We also have Google’s Webmaster Trends Analyst Pierre Far, who’s going to explain the mobile opportunity for your clients – what you can do to help them get a slice of that lush mobile search pie that’s overtaking desktop (for real), and ensure they deserve to get found by mobile searchers.

It’s the crowd who make it

Our line up is cool, but what really makes Search London are the people. If you’re currently a Londoner working in digital, then you may already have Search London down on your list of events to attend.
