Highcharts Generator

Generate Line, Spline, Area Spline, Column or Bar Charts with our Highcharts.js Generator

Who is this tool for?Digital content producers wanting to feature interactive charts on a webpage.

Highcharts is a charting library that gives you a simple way of adding interactive graphs to your web site or web application. They’re lovely to look at yet difficult for a marketer to create if you’re not already proficient in JavaScript.

I’ve therefore made a little tool that takes TSV (tab separated values) or CSV (comma separated values) pastes to generate Line, Spline, Area Spline, Column or Bar Charts.

Here’s one I prepared earlier:

Simply copy and paste your Excel data (or any tab or comma separated values) into the field below, choose the type of output you want to see… and voila! The chart outputs automatically.

Try it out for yourself now or read through the ‘how to’ details below. Enjoy!

A step by step guide

Generating a simple Highchart is easy. To do so, you’ll need your data ready in a spreadsheet:

  1. Copy your data, then go to the Highcharts generator above.
  2. Paste your data into the “Data” field, and delete that little space in the top left corner:

  3. Create a Title, Y-Axis Label and select “Chart Type”, and click generate.
Pro-tip: the “Spline” chart looks prettier than “Line”.
  4. Copy and paste the generated code and you’re good to go!
